I am having an issue with users who are using the Windows 10 Photo & Microsoft Edge printing to our Canon ir-ADV networked printers using the Canon DIAS (Driver Information Assist Service). All other applications using this seem to have no problem with having the popup work and accept the department ID they wish to use. These 2 applications (so far) are skipping the popup window and dumping the job into the printer queue on the network (which is clogging up the queue with a job it cannot send to the printer). I have the latest software drivers loaded on the network and my current workaround is the setup the IE 11 and the old Photo Viewer as the default for their respective file types.

Any help would be appreciated. My workplace is having the same issue!

I didn't know it was a department code issue, but that makes sense. I haven't found hardly anyone else that has run into the same issue, just finally stumbled across someone else that did! Just to clarify what this looks like for us: It only happens with the Modern print dialogs found in Edge and the Photo Viewer It only happens with Canon Color Copiers (We have assorted ir-adv series as well) We actually had this happen in Windows 8 as well and we didn't troubleshoot it, just did a quick workaround and let it be. However, since we are upgrading our users to Windows 10 and just switched to an entirely Canon copier environment, this has become more of an issue.
